The Spanish soprano Máriam Guerra began taking singing lessons in Jerez de la Frontera, her hometown, at "Centro de Estudios Musicales Musicry" from soprano María José Sánchez and baritone Luis Álvarez, and private classes from soprano Emelina López. She furthered her studies at a professional Conservatory in Madrid "Conservatorio Profesional de Música Teresa Berganza" with baritone Pedro Gilabert. She is currently completing her third year of Singing at the "Escuela Superior de Canto of Madrid” with soprano Victoria Manso as her voice teacher.
 
She has attended master classes led by reknown maestros such as Montserrat Caballé, Ana Luisa Chova, Ainhoa Garmendia, Roberto Scandiuzzi, Ettore Papadia, Xavier Parés and Lamara Chkonia, among others.

Concerning opera singing, she has performed the following roles in ensembles and arias: Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor, Mozart), Despina (Così fan tutte, Mozart), Adina (L’elisir d’amore, Donizetti), Olympia (Les contes d'Hoffmann, Offenbach), Der Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte, Mozart), Norina (Don Pasquale, Donizetti), Amina (La Sonnambula, Bellini), Linda (Linda di Chamounix, Donizetti) in numerous halls and theaters nationwide. 
 She has conducted full role performances of "The Novice" (Suor Angélica, Puccini) and Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor, Mozart).

She has also participated in companies such as “Mundo Lírico S.L.”, “Club de la Zarzuela” and "Compañía de Danza y Música Barroca, Pochi Grenier" performing opera and operetta recitals at various Madrid theaters and show rooms.

In April 2011, she received honorable mention at the III Lied and Concert Song Competition “Fidela Campiña”
